Historic Preservation Awards of Merit

Here in Stuart we look forward every year to the month of May. Why, you ask? Well, it is National Historic Preservation Month, of course! One way we mark this month is celebrating the recipients of the Historic Preservation Awards of Merit announced by the Historic Preservation Commission of Kalamazoo.

National Historic Preservation Month - May

Yes, there really is a whole month dedicated to historic preservation and we are super geeked out about it here in Stuart. If you haven't heard about it, well, it's about time because it was first celebrated in 1973, almost 50 years ago! Go here to learn more about this historic month from the National Trust for Historic Preservation.
